Meet the Founder

MARIA, CREATIVE DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

Ocean lover and coffee addict.

Italian heritage, Australian heart, world explorer.

I’m Maria, a Pisces, creative since I was little and curious by nature. My art was born from the necessity of expressing myself and communicating what I feel.

I first embarked on an accounting career, but I always had a strong desire to express my imagination. I found flowers the perfect medium for me to merge my feelings and the inspiration I’ve always had.

My eyes and my heart travel far and wide to collect all possible inspiration, expand it and enrich my vision.

This is why I moved to Australia in 2013 and I started working in floristry shortly after.

Today, I am based in the north of Italy, and I work Europe-wide and in Australia; I do love traveling, discovering, and being surprised by what life gifts us.

I could describe myself as a florist, but it might be limiting

I take care of the floral design interpreting your moods and feeling through natural elements, arranged in an essential, minimal, and sculptural way to create unique experiences.

My happy place? It’s on a beach where the weather is warm, the sun shines and the people smile.

MARYPOPPIES Floral Studio was born from the need for expression through flowers, design, and harmony that merges them all

I wanted a naming that resembled a real person, a kind of alter ego to walk through the floral world with.

Today, Maria has blended with MARYPOPPIES, surrounded by flowers that capture those fleeting moments the blooms are bursting with life and join the beauty of nature with the sophisticated choices of decorative elements.

I firmly believe that flowers speak to us, tell us who we are, and how we look at the world.

This is why, as a visual creative that I am, I feel the need to tell stories using nature. We work with flowers in a spontaneous and pure way, combining our passion for design, art, and aesthetics available to your story.

We create the setup, choose and take care of every single detail: from the color palettes to the types of flowers, from the texture, up to the location and spaces.

Our ultimate goal? Find the harmony.
